Biography
My name is Jaden Flowers, a senior Recreation Administration student at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) with a concentration in Recreational Sports Management and a minor in Sports Coaching from Charlotte, NC. I chose this major is because I like sports and have played sports since I was a kid. As a student on the autism spectrum, sports helped me with my social skills while being part of a team. Attending programs like Sports Biz Camps in high school exposed me to career opportunities in the sports industry. After I graduate from NCCU, I would like to get my master's degree in athletic administration and also get my doctorate degree as well. My career goals are to work for a professional sports team or manage or own my own sports agency.

I am involved in many activities on campus such as the African American Male Initiative (AAMI) Cohort 14, TRIO Student Acce(SSS) Success Program Student, 1910 Male Honors Society, Rho Phi Lambda National Honor Fraternity for Recreation, Park and Leisure Studies, National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), a member of the North Carolina Recreation & Park Association (NCRPA)
I have obtained certifications in Concussion in Sports, Coaching Adapted Sports, and Fundamentals of Coaching. I have 300+ volunteer hours, with 21 hours with NCCU Athletics, 106 recreation practicum hours, 28 hours at the 2024 MEAC Basketball Tournament, 30 hours with the Greensboro Sports Foundation, 48 hours with Stratford Richardson YMCA, and 37 hours with Mecklenburg County Park and Rec as part of my 400-hour recreation internship.
I was selected as DREAM Foundation Scholar for Spring 2025, a 10-week program to expose HBCU students to opportunities in professional sports and worked with the Vegas Golden Knights and other organizations in Las Vegas.
